Goodbye.

Off to boston in just a little over 12 hours. Can't wait, I managed to slip in a few last minutes with taken...he killed it with his latest canvas.

And here's a little something that I'm leaving for my comeback!

work baby work.

working like this is...awesome.

fail and win

My last trip got cancelled at the very last minute which sucks BUT I decided to take a walk around the city, see whats going up lately and visit the old tobacco factory I posted before again.

Its really cool because it is in constant change, I really liked the new work that went up, next time I'll be sure to take some paint.

My findings walking around Madrid (note: there is A LOT more than what is pictured, but I just took a few snaps at stencils and wheatpaste work to change a bit and not always have the same type of stuff on here)

I found this face to be pretty awesome.

Some big names are on there, I'm a fan of yatusabes' work... check more of his work out at: http://www.yatusabesmadrid.es/

Here is what I found at the old tobacco processing factory...

I met this guy once a couple of years ago, pretty chill guy, and really talented.

Those three pics are of the bathroom, last time I went there, there was just a couple of tags but the walls were pretty blank. I love seeing something so colorful and people actually putting hours into their work.

This was pretty interesting, although I hope it's not a finished project, it could be pretty cool if something else was added...

A guy had set up an art workshop, the works done in here were looking pretty awesome...

They had also put in hours of work in the patio...

I loved finding this all of a sudden, they managed to put in a garden, even though its all cement, pretty interesting!

Pretty skilled to do something like this...

I loved seeing our own version of Moulin Rouge haha

This guy was pretty cool (sorry about the finger, I JUST noticed, and this is the only pic I took of that particular piece...)

(still) on the road

Another 1400 kilometers down, I went up north, unfortunately there were no waves (I hope I can surf soon), no walls, (I'll paint at least one more wall before leaving for boston, promise), just memories, smiles and good times.

I can't complain, the beauty of this place is... well, you be the judge.

Baggage.

I love mine.

Its getting out of hand.

Surprise! I was doing laundry and this bad boy came out when I popped the washer open. I smiled to myself, finding a writers best friend anywhere and everywhere says a lot. haha

AEP CREW

Another 160 km down, another wall painted, a lot of handshakes, hugs and farewells.

I already said that at the end of this month I'll be heading to Boston for the fall semester, this means that I wont be painting with my crew in a few months which is new. Since I joined AEP in 2005 it has been non-stop, push it to the next level fun. Being away is exciting but there is no doubt I'm going to miss the hell out of them.

To bid our goodbyes we did what we do best; we painted some walls. Unfortunately in the first round, mr. monopoly was left alone, only joined by Taken and Hekon's pieces. He was going to be accompanied by one of my latest-style pieces but an ear infection and the lack of painkillers in my system made it impossible to finish, so the monopoly guy was left alone, oh well. Taken did his share and brought the wall to life with his piece.

-Hekon

-Taken

-- thanks for the shitty pics G! haha

-Me

After painting with Taken and Hekon, I had to go see The Man, the guy that started up the crew, the guy that made AEP work. one of the most passionate writers, a person that has made me feel at home from the beginning. Pity he didn't have time to finish, being a father is a 24/7 thing!

-Feño

-AEP crew- by me.
-The truth.
- My piece- I wanted to do the AEP mainly, if I had time to throw up a quick piece I'd freestyle something, at the end, I had a bit of time on my hands and decided to throw this generic-type euro-style piece up... fast and simple.

Agroturisme s'Horta

I just got back from a couple of days off in which I combined many of my passions, and also took up some new jobs. This time I was put up against a very interesting project; design the label for a liquor bottle made locally in Palma. To do this I decided to go to the place where it is refined, it is a beautiful place on the northern part of the island.

Anyway, to get to the point, I decided to do it with water colors, it has been well over 12 years since I last picked up this type of paint, I really like what came out, now the task is to reduce the size, some touch-ups and get the bottles labeled!

I'll upload the digital version of the finished label in the following days.
