Finally.

after work, paint and a show going well, comes the time to relax...and celebrate everything is going great.

Hobbes

as I have said before, you get what you asked for, Taken and I painted a part of a bar yesterday, we did our own interpretation of a famous design by Thrasher...hey, its what the guy wanted.

the sketch...
the storefront...
The owner of the bar used to paint over 10 years ago...he decided to throw up his own tag as well haha. pretty chill guy, really liked the end result, he said he didn't want to open the bar that day just to see the painting all day haha.

Embajadores

I know I've been slacking behind on my posts, I've just been extremely busy....

But in all this time I've had time to see a lot of different things, one of them is this, a building donated to an organization that does a lot of different collabs with artists. This building is a really old one in the center of Madrid where they have set up a lot of different activities.

The place is full of good will and a "just relax, just be" kind of mood, its really cool...anyway, I was pissed off I had forgotten my camera once again at home, so my iphone had to do. I'm going to go back next week, I wont forget it then, for sure.

great exterior walls...
all the doors were painted, I'm not much of a stencil fan but I found this to bee quite interesting.
The whole building was divided into small sectors with different workshops, from martial arts to canvas art workshops...It was nice, but they were all closed except the canvas one...which I really did enjoy.
The detail on some of these were quite impressive
small characters sprung up all over the place...
Of course Taken joined me on this adventure...

I love the wheatpaste job done on the door. the character is really clean, such a sweet spot.

They even built an indoor halfpipe...
Taken and I decided to throw up something quick as well...The penguin has a long story behind it and the whole shower thing as well...this is a penguin showering in colors... Taken sometimes writes his name with a "que" instead of "ke" (sounds the same in spanish) but yeah... "you have Taquen (taken) my Soap! haha

fill in the blanks.

I was invited to paint a wall constructed for the sole purpose of being painted by graffiti writers, it changes everything, it feels great too.

Anyway, I woke up and picked up Taken, and Zet. we drove to the wall and after deciding who was going to paint where, we started to do our thing. The clouds were threatening to give us a refreshing shower, but the rain held out 'till we finished our task, then it began to pour.

It was a good day, and it was fun, some wannabe rapper was filming his videoclip there, which made the day even funnier.

QR7...?

I was surprised with this, it actually works, although you should avoid contact with skin... It comes in handy when ink accidents happen...who would've thought I'd like the buff? haha

Soap Two in TĂșnez

Taken recently took a trip to Tunez with some friends, I couldn't resist and asked him to put up some stickers around there, here are some pics....

At the airport...
apparently this was in some restaurant in the middle of the desert...yet some big writers have their stickers up on there...

I love this sign...and the pic...

This pic is just meh...but its up there!

Capital M to Z with a funky monkey

I managed to get my hands on four 6x7 foot canvas' and decided to have some friends over to paint, laugh and have a good time, the result is this, Taken did the "funky monkey", Gone did Calvin and Hobbes, and I did Mazinger Z.

Gone did his with just a marker, while me and Taken decided to do the whole thing with spray paint. I quite like the end result, I hope I can pull this off more often. Two of the canvas' are going to the show where my other canvas' are.

I'll get pics as soon as possible. It keeps on being postponed...sucks, but it happens when it doesn't depend entirely on you.

peace, enjoy!
